The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with employing the full worth of frozen Russian assets to bolster Ukraine's defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this unified step would heighten pressure on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to participate in talks.

They added that the decision would be carried out in tight collaboration with the United States.

UK penalties have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russia's assets since Moscow began its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, money allocated to Ukraine using Russian assets had solely been sourced from earnings and returns accrued on them.
